Haverford

This ship was built 1901 at Glasgow by John Brown & Co. Ltd. for the American line as a sister of the S/S Merion. The Haverford lived a very shifting life. She was a charter for Red Star Line, used on the Antwerp - New York service. Then sailed on the American Line service between Liverpool and Philadelphia. 1908 charter for Dominion Line. 1921 transferred to White Star Line. 1922 returned to the American Line This image is from an old postcard.
