Mauretania leaving the Tyne

Cunard Line steamship built 1906 at Wallsend-on-Tyne by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson. This ship sailed with emigrants from 1907 till 1934, mainly between Southampton and New York. She was also used as a hospital ship and a troop ship in WW1. On this image which is from an old photo postcard she is seen leaving the Tyne after her launching in 1906.
