Navigazione Generale Italiana (N.G.I.) Line steamship built 1904 at Newcastle by Armstrong Whitworth & Co. as the "Mendoza" for Lloyd Italiano. Renamed Caserta 1919. Sailed her first voyage on the Genoa - Naples - New York service in 1921. Sold and renamed Venezuela for La Veloce 1923. Scrapped 1928. This image is from an old postcard.
