Hamburg South America Line steamship built 1927 by Blohm & Voss. The ship was built to operate on the Hamburg - South America service, but was also used for cruising. In 1928 the steamship was on a journey from North Cape to Svalbard Norway, she struck something and the hull began leaking. The repairs at Spitzbergen took several days and the ship became known as "The Titanic of the South" In 1930 the ship struck some submerged rocks in the Pan de Indio near Tierra del Fuego and sank.
