Scandinavian America Line steamship built 1881 at Glasgow by Alexander Stephen & Sons as the Pieter de Coninck for the Engels Line. Taken over by the Thingvalla Line, renamed Norge 1889. Struck Rockall and sank with the loss of 583 passengers and 45 crew 1904. This image is from an old print (23 x 14 cm.).
