Venezia

Fabre Line steamship built 1907 at Wallsend-on-Tyne by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson. The ship then mainly sailed with emigrants and other passengers between Marseilles and New York via other Mediterranean ports, mainly Naples and Palermo but also Lisbon and Providence. The ship was chartered to Compagnie Generale Transatlantique (French Line) in 1919 and was destroyed by fire that same year while on voyage in the North Atlantic. This image is from an old postcard.
