The Victoria Pier, Hull - with the Minerva Hotel. Postcard mailed May 15, 1905 by an emigrant who had crossed the North Sea on a Wilson Line steamship to Hull and had taken a train from there to Liverpool, where he had to wait for some days before boarding the transatlantic steamship. The Victoria Pier was where the Wilson Line steamer landed in Hull. The sender wrote: I am now in Liverpool, the voyage went well. It was stormy on the North Sea. I will be staying here till May 20. Be happy and live well..
