Norddeutscher Lloyd steamship built 1922 at Danzig by F. Schichau. Originally laid down as the "Hindenburg" in 1913, but not complete due to the WW1. When the ship was completed in 1922, it was decided to name her Columbus (2) instead of Hindenburg. In 1929 the ship was rebuilt and re-engined, and her funnels shortened. On this image the ship is shown with the short funnels she was fitted with during the rebuilding in 1929. This image is from an old postcard.
