Hansa (1)

Norddeutscher Lloyd steamship built 1861 at Greenock by Caird & Co. The Hansa sailed with emigrants and other passengers on the Bremen - Southampton - New York service. Sold to British owners in 1879. In 1883 she was renamed "Ludwig" for the White Cross Line. This is a photo of a painting showing the ship while in service for the White Cross Line.
