Norddeutscher Lloyd steamship built 1907. Used as a cargo steamer between Bremen and Australia. "Frachtdampferline Bremen-Australien. Grosse: 5536 Br.R.T. Länge: 133,7m. Breite: 16,7m." In 1914 the ship was captured by the Royal Navy, and in 1915 renamed Maritime, and later Waikawa for the Union Steamship Company of New Zealand. The image is from an old postcard
