Norddeutscher Lloyd steamship built by AG Vulcan at Stettin 1904. Used as a passenger and cargo steamer between Bremen/Hamburg and Eastern Asia. "Dienst: Bremen/Hamburg - Ostasien. Grosse: 8797 Br.R.T. Länge: 154,5m. Breite: 16,8m." In 1914 the ship was transformed into a German commerce raider. The Prinz Eitel Fredrich operated in the Pacific and South Atlantic and sank a total of 11 ships before she ran out of coal and supplies. In 1915 she sailed to Newport News to be interned. In 1917 she was seized by USA to be used as a troop ships and renamed "De Kalb". After the war she was renamed "Mount Clay". Scrapped and broken up in 1927. The image is from an old postcard
