Cincinnati

Hamburg America Line steamship built 1908 at Danzig by F. Schichau. In 1917 the ship was seized by the USA at Boston and became the US Govt. ship "Covington". In 1918 (July 1) she was torpedoed and sunk by German submarine U-86 near the French coast. This image is from an old postcard. For more ship history see: S/S Cincinnati
