French Line steamship built 1863 at Greenock by Scott & Co. for the French Line. This was the first of 8 ships built for the C.G.T. (French Line) intended for the transatlantic service between Havre and New York. On this image the ship is seen as she appeared afther she had been conveted to a twin screw steamer in 1868. This image is from an old photograph.
