Navigazione Generale Italiana (N.G.I.) Line steamship built 1926 at Sestri Ponente by Ansaldo S.A. This ship sailed with emigrants and other passengers between Genoa - Naples and New York for N.G.I. till about 1932. She was transferred to the Italia Line 1932. In 1943 she became the Italian Navy ship "Aquila", and was converted to an aircraft carrier, but subsequently damaged by bombing. Scrapped 1950 at Spezia. This image is from an old postcard.
