Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P&O) steamship built 1855 by Laird, Sons & Co. at Birkenhead. Originally built as the "Habana", for Spanish owners. Puchased by Cie Franco-Americaine in 1856 and was renamed "Alma". Purchased by P&O in 1859 and renamed "China". Sold for breaking up 1883. The image is from an old photograph.
